prayer (foolish or otherwise)
For a visa, a new chapter, a lucky break, second chances without end. For next spring under the cherry blossoms in Prospect Park. Fingers (and toes and knees and spine) crossed.

postscript: another prayer, for somebody's words to come back to him, and for london/barcelona/vancouver/bristol/providence to happen. especially providence, divine or otherwise. this post is now the virtual prayer wall of the blog.

i love you.
and I love you. & have immense faith in 'without end', whether this particular second chance works out or not. the city wants you back home.
Your prayer beneficiaries realized earlier today that the brown stony wall in our entrance corridor is replete with nooks and crevices. It also faces east, and hence just perfect as the Wailing (or Hope-Inspiring) Wall. Now R and I just need to invent some rituals to render it authentic ;)
Sameen (cannot believe i was coy in the earlier love note. one should never be coy in a love note.)
hahaha, how delightfully apt. this is, of course, the wall that revealed itself to be possessed of fatima's hand (with additional nazar-deflecting charm) when he moved into the house. The day I helped sort through all the flotsam in the kitchen drawers, and we pronounced it a blessed abode.
if anyone can invent sufficient rituals, it's the two of you.
