sokağımda

This appeared on the brick wall of a former-warehouse down the street a couple of weeks ago, and I walk past it most days. I'm very fond of our street, with its motley assortment of coffin-makers and corner diners, the Senegalese drum shop and the Palestinian auto repair place, the bridge, the canal. Every day I fall a little bit more in love with Brooklyn.

erin: three cheers for our postcode!

armchair: oh, I like villages as well--it's the suburbs I couldn't take. I need the city or the countryside, not the stripmalls in between.
