Such a handsome pairing of verse and photograph. When I first saw the photo after the verse, I thought, "A hole in my chest!"

I encountered the verse and the image separately (India, Turkey) and it took me another three years more to realise they belonged together. It pleases me to think that the poet may have passed a night or two in that caravanserai, not so far from the city he made his last home.
