2007
Happy New Year, y'all. My plane landed at JFK at 5:00 pm yesterday. I brought my bags home, showered and dressed, then made a beeline for the subway, with the intent of seeing in 2007 with friends and champagne in Manhattan, then going home nice and early, so I could catch up on sleep and spend today doing all the things that must be done before I return to work tomorrow morning. The best-laid plans, etc. A taxi bearing both old friends and new-minted ones dropped us off in Brooklyn somewhere in the vicinity of post-5:00 am, in the light-falling rain of a new year. Much love to all of those who made the intervening hours so entertaining. I am going to finish unpacking (and recovering) now, but will be back tomorrow with photos, and more. Thank you indeed to those of you who read and commented here in 2006, and may this year be a kinder one to all of us, and to the world.

Happy New Year, E.
Wishing you a more of the things that blessed you in the past, and much much less of the things that didn't.
