An audio track of Jeanette Winterson's incandescent little sermon on reading is up on the PEN website, as are photos and audio from many of the events held at the World Voices festival. Once I have a spare moment perhaps I'll transcribe some of it. In the meantime, she also wrote a short piece about the festival for The Times. Oddly enough, in three years in Oxfordshire I never managed to go to a reading of hers at Blackwell's or anywhere else, though I did sight her in the Covered Market once; this summer I'll be keeping an eye out.
