mad cows and sick chickens

My friend R. forwarded me this advert by Erpiliç, a major poultry farming company in Turkey. The cow is saying, "Just hang in there, my bird. They were calling me crazy...."

(The text in the bottom left assures readers that Erpiliç's production facilities are clean and safe and that no "virus from outside sources" can reach their chickens.) Well, four years in the UK and no mad cow disease to show for it (but I'm still not allowed to donate blood), so I'll refrain from worrying too much about the kuş gribi yet. Aside from laughter, the primary effect of this has just been to make me very hungry for tavuk döner. Mmmmm.
