this is not a post about turkey

....because there hasn't been time to write one. Dear readers, I'm still around, and have many more lighthearted stories to tell, not the least of which is a funny and fantastic only-in-New York tale of apartment acquisition (I am saving it until the ink on the lease forms are dry, for fear of putting the nazar on the whole enterprise.) And I know there are some interesting and/or provocative comments on below posts; I have every intention of replying. Soon. But I spent most of the weekend working, and most of the prior week working overtime, on the matters outlined in the sticky post above. I need to catch up on my sleep and my Arabic homework.
