tempting fate

I'm going to stop blogging about good weather and new bicycles and the like, because something is obviously trying to teach me a lesson in hubris. Not only is the bike gone, but it's snowing heavily outside as I sit here in the mid-Manhattan library, wool coat over the back of my chair. So much for sandal-wearing.
