brooklyn in the snow
I am up in Boston (where it is very, very cold) this weekend, visiting Buchu at Hahvahd. In the meantime, enjoy these pictures of the aftermath of the snowstorm earlier this week (I took them on Monday, the day after the storm ended, but being a foolish girl who left her camera cord on the wrong coast, couldn't upload them until now.) Prospect Park as a snowy fairyland, and two Brooklyn street scenes. I'll be back next week, with: a jaunt to DC, a post on the new Turkish "anti-American" blockbuster movie, some freedom songs, and a damn fine recipe for kheer. Also, we hope: a job and the proverbial room of one's own.

Did you see the Daily Show's take on the Turkish film? If you haven't, go into their most recent videos section and watch the one called Use the Force. It's one item of many, but it's there. It's damn brilliant :)
and now it is snowing in oxford! not the stupendous brooklyn-nyc variety, but still ... enough to satiate a girl's heart :)
